Origami Project

In our school in Segovia (Spain) we all enjoyed the origami project. In year 4 we made origami book corners.

We started with pandas but then each child designed their own. We also made a video to explain how to make them.

In year 6 children made origami heart envelopes and boxes. We love origami!

Introducing our town to our Erasmus partners

One of the first activities that we worked on in El Peñascal (Segovia, Spain) was the introduction of our beautiful town, Segovia, to our partners.  Year 4 first studied the vocabulary required for describing the town.  We then wrote sentences using the structures of “there is/there are”. Following this we looked at simple texts describing other towns. Next, we talked about the special features of Segovia. Finally using a writing frame, we wrote about Segovia. We later researched the ‘highlights’ of Segovia such as the aqueduct, the Alcázar castle, the Cathedral, the Main Square, the beautiful surroundings and the old Minting house and went out to become reporters! Fantastic work!
